The bird protection net or cat protection net is ideally stretched over 3 cucumber supports in late spring, summer and autumn and offers ideal protection against unwanted companions. The use of bird and cat protection nets on raised beds is common in seasons when the cold frame cover is no longer used. We recommend using 3 cucumber supports for raised beds that are 3m long. For raised beds that are 1.9m long, 2 cucumber supports are sufficient.
