The patented raised bed cover is made of hail-proof, UV-resistant plastic. In winter, at sub-zero temperatures, the raised bed cover is fully usable and proves to be perfect protection for your early bed against cold and snow. However, you should regularly remove the snow lying on it so that

1.  the plants underneath get sunlight, 
2.  the greenhouse effect comes into play and
3.  the cover is not pressed into the interior of the raised bed by excessive weight.  

The cover consists of several elements that are not slidable, but can be removed individually. This has the advantage that:

1.  the entire area under the cover is usable;
2.  the raised bed can be cultivated from both sides;
3.  The individual cover plates are straight and thus stored in a space-saving manner 
4.  Each individual plate can be easily replaced.
